DON'T
  • post anything that is meaningless, unrelated to the bulk of the thread, or without general worth (do not reply to a question e.g. "sorry don't know")
  • advertise other forums
  • promote or distribute copyrighted material, including but not limited to MP3s, anime episodes, and other media
  • post any details that may be considered "spoilers" without proper forewarning (signatures and avatars are no exception)
  • use the BBS to post the kind of one-line material that belongs in a chat room, use the chat box provided
  • double post, as you have the ability to edit your previous posts
  • create new threads for topics that have already been discussed in previous threads, use the search to ensure it's not posted already
  • post your own introduction thread, as there is a general welcome thread in the General forum
  • make humourous, tasteless jokes about .hack characters
  • create threads addressed to individual members of the board, use the private message system instead
  • roleplay anywhere on the forum
  • steal art from external sites or others on the forum and claim it as your own work

DO:
  • read the FAQ section, search the forum and/or check the help threads for help with a problem before consulting a moderator
  • use the search feature to check if your question has previously been answered before posting
  • respect other members and their personal beliefs - have an open mind
  • keep posts at a PG-13 level (no sexual content, unnecessary profanity, etc.)
  • use the chat box on the main page for all your chatting needs
  • use English only
  • check your private messages, and use it to talk to individuals if it is required
  • read and follow the rules of each specific forum if there are any

WE DO NOT CARE:
  • what your favourite colour, number, or food is
  • who you think would win in a fight between ____ and ____
  • about your homework
  • which Final Fantasy you think is the best
  • if you are dying to roleplay on the BBS
  • which .hack character you would like to date, be, or injure
  • which .hack character you think is the coolest, funniest, hottest, etc.

Please consider users with screen resolutions of 800x600 by limiting the visual size of your signatures, and users without broadband internet access by limiting image filesizes as well.

If you notice anyone breaking these rules, please feel free to contact a moderator or administrator via private message or use the "report" button by the person's post. There is a warning system in place for those who violate these rules, and repeat offenders will be dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
